Hotel Orsa Maggiore, Castro (Lecce)

The hotel has recently been renovated, but lacks some small touches like coffee and tea making facilities, a decent hair dryer, and balcony furniture to fully enjoy the view. The rooms are bright early in the morning and a bit outdated, which became noticeable two days after our arrival.

The hotel location was perfect for exploring the south Italian cities and beautiful beaches, but I made a mistake finding it at first. The rooms were quite dated and could have been cleaner, although they were renovated. The service was amazing, with special thanks to Mrs Assuntina for her delicious cakes at breakfast and Mr Victorio for the real English tea. The dining experience was great among the olive trees, and the atmosphere in the restaurant's terrace was very relaxing. Facilities were good, but small amenities like coffee and tea making were lacking. The hotel is ideally located near the sea pool and the charming old town.
